WATCH ''MY NAME IS KHAN'' ONLINE AND DOWNLOD FOR YOUR PC
The message of “My Name Is Khan,” an effective exercise in Bollywood high emotionalism, is less political than movie-ish: there are two kinds of people in the world, good and bad, a distinction more important than any other differences, like those between Hindus and Muslims.
All is not well when the film begins, with the Muslim hero,Rizvan Khan Shah Rukh Khan)roughly searched at the San Francisco airport. His mantra, “My name is Khan, and I am not a terrorist,”spooks the guards. But, like most Hindi movies,it ends well, with the election of a black American president, presented as a moment of hope and triumphal healing. The world may be an ugly place but in the words of a song heard throughout the movie,movies.nytimes.com“.At its best “My Name Is Khan,”set mainly in America, is an affecting fairy tale about the perils of goodness.Rizvan, a kind of holy fool played mostly with restraint by Mr. Khan, has Asperger’s syndrome. His condition makes him a single-minded worker on the side of the angels, but it also gets him and his family into trouble: he cannot tell a lie, or keep his faith hidden. After that’s dangerous for a man named Khan. The film is propelled by a love story and a quest. Rizvan falls for and weds a divorced single mother, Mandira(Kajol Devgan, a frequent co-star of Mr. Khan), a Hindu who accepts his oddities even if by marrying him she seems to be taking on another child. (Then again the true Bollywood romance is the one between mothers and sons.Rizvan, a kind of genius, may have trouble expressing emotions, but he has them, and with a copy of “Intercourse for Dumbos” gets through the wedding night. After her son becomes a victim of an anti-Muslim attack, Mandira throws Rizvan out, and he takes her command literally: go tell the president that your name is Khan and you’re not a terrorist. He wanders in the desert and somehow lands in Georgia, providing the movie with its most improbable detour. A small black community takes him in and, later, when a Katrina-like flood hits the town, Rizvan proves that not only is he not a terrorist, but he is also the only man in America willing to help those in need.“Khan” is one of a handful of Hindi filmsIndians living in a paranoid,11 America, there’s something fascinating about looking at this country through a Bollywood lens, even when the story is a kind of fairy tale. Most interesting here is the link made between black Americans and Indians, especially Muslims.Skillfully directed by Karan Johar and with an evocative score by Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy, “Khan” jerks tears with ease, while teaching lessons about Islam and tolerance.Ah,tolerance. In India, a firestorm surrounded the film’s release on Friday. The Shiv Sena, a fundamentalist Hindu party, is angry with Mr.Khan,a Muslim, who is probably the biggest star in Bollywood. Why?Because Mr. Khan won’t apologize for remarks he made about Pakistani cricketers being allowed to play in India.
He is part owner of a team. But the Shiv Sena’s threats and promises to disrupt the movie’s Mumbai opening didn’t stop crowds from going to see the film.Chalk one up for Bollywood.

WATCH MINDLESS DRAMA - CHOTI BAHU ON YOUR PC
Chhoti Bahu, Zee's newest, er... weapon of mass destruction comes from the stable of Deeya and Tony Singh. Et Tu, Brutus? Since it comes in the 7.30 pm slot, where women, especially the lowest common denominator variety we are told by TV pundits, sit around their TV sets for their daily quota of entertainment, soaking in every little joy and sorrow the dukhiyari serial ki heroine, Chhoti Bahu fits the bill.
It's about two sisters who was found on the mandir ki seedi ( the other who's come straight from her mother's womb. While Radhika is the simple, obedient girl, Vishakha is a brat who dreams of becoming a film star. So Radhika mops the floor and Vishakha secretly auditions for films in the small town of Vrindavan. Yeah, and lest we forget their father is a respected priest. Then there is a daadi who curses Radhika at the slightest pretext.
Karamjali, janamjali and ganda khoon is how she describes her. Looks like she has been instructed to say those words every time she is short of dialogues!
Yes, there is a young man too who's just about discovered love in the form of Radhika but just might get married to Vishakha due to some identity confusion or some inexplicable plot twist.
For the rest, readers could muster courage and watch the show. At the press meet of the show, we were told that Radhika gets all the hand-me-downs from Vishakha, including the latter's mangalsutra…Hey Ram, is all we can say or should it be Hey Krishna, considering that everyone in the show keep talking about Kanha!!! Seriously, this show needs some divine intervention, though we won't be surprised if viewers lap it up like they most often do, when it comes to such mindless melodrama.
As for Deeya and Tony, leave these Chhoti Bahus to the big K. You can certainly do better.

WATCH RAB NE BANA DI JODI ON YOUR PC AND DOWNLOD
Destiny plays a cruel joke on an extremely enthusiastic young girl Taani as she loses her fiancé and his family in a road accident on the eve of her marriage. on his death bed requests her to marry his old favorite student Surinder Shahani Taani obeys his last wish and thus begins the start of this extraordinary love story between an otherwise ordinar somewhat geeky Surinder has already fallen for Taani since the first time he has seen her but alls his hopes crash when Taani tells him the day they arrive at his house that she won’t be able to give him any love as that’s one feeling she has lost forever with the sudden turn of events in her life. The rest of the film is about how Suri transforms himself into a very hep flirtatious dude Raj to win her love using a dancing school as a platform for his antics. He is well aided with his childhood buddy Bobby who brings on the physical transformation in him. But what happens is Taani who is unaware of Raj being Suri himself ends up falling in love with Raj. Suri is now again in a fix but then he finally decides to take a bold step
The script has its moments and master craftsman Adi keeps you engaged initially with some really beautifully handled moments between king khan and Anushka. But king khan transformation comes in the grip slowly loosens and you start feeling restless with the pace slumping down considerably. What follows is a criss-cross between some really well penned and executed scenes and some really drab moments with badly placed songs acting as speed breakers. But Adi’s terrific dialogues deserve a special applause for touching the right chords.
Shah Rukh Khan is simply superb as first the shy Suri and then the flamboyant of energ Raj Newcomer Anushka gets a really well etched character to perform and it despite being her first filmshe comes across an absolute natural.
Music of the film is good but the problem is apart from a very well tuned and picturised Haule Haule number, the rest songs appear wrongly placed. The picturisation of the number featuring Kajol Preity Zinta Basu Lara Dutta and Rani is mind blowing but again it coming at a wrong juncture doesn’t really make it work.

WATCH VEER MOVIE BY SALMAN KHAN ON YOUR PC
In a scene from the film, Salman Khan fractures his leg and limps almost for one full reel. But in real life, one can say Salman ne apne hi paav par kulhadi maar lee . The ordinary story he pens doesn’t do justice to the immense intensity he adds to his performance. Salman is marred and let down by his own self.
Veer opens in 1862 though it resorts to a 1980s kind of Bollywood treatment.Much over the usual Hollywood suspects Braveheart Gladiator or Troy itseeks references from epic dramas with a royal streak like Dharam Veer Rajput and Raj Tilak from our very own Bollywood stock. The story comes close of Amitabh Bachchan’s Mard Manmohan Desai’s trademark lost-and-found formula which is substituted with too much of Bollywood song and dance drama.
Prithvi Singh heads the Pindari community who were once betrayed by the Raja of Madhavgarh. Prithvi’s son Veercontinues to rebel against Madhavgarh and the British empire in India. Expectedly it’s love-at-first sight with the Raja’s daughter, Princess Yashodhara
With younger brother Punya Veer goes to London to get English gyaan that will help his clan. Predictably he stumbles upon Yashodhara at the university and the epic veers towards campus romance. Back in India, Yashodhara takes charge of her kingdom and is pitted against their enemy – the Pindaris lead by Veer. What follows is love and war though the treatment is more formulaic than fair.
Evidently designed as a project to glorify his heroism, Salman Khan is the single reason you sit through the film. Sadly Salman can’t solely substitute for the abundant ambiguities in the film. Writer Shaktimaan fails to develop Salman’s story into a compelling screenplay falling prey to outmoded clichés and the film merely ends up being a love story between two warring families with the age-old revenge angle thrown in for good measure.
With shot-takings derived from Jodhaa Akbar ’s battlefield sequences, the film starts on an interesting note. But the pace soon drops as an uninspiring love story takes precedence and too much of time is expended in song and dance. Though the narrative in first half doesn’t move beyond their redundant romance, the chemistry between the couple is palpably missing.
Half a dozen character artists are stuffed in the Pindari community, though none of them are established or contribute competently towards the war. Like many of those histrionic action sequences from the film where the hero makes a late entry to win instant applause, the film picks up pulse in the latter reels. The swayamvar sequence and the climatic combat between father-son way for some dense dramatic moments. But Veer is excruciatingly long at a runtime that doesn’t justify its frail storytelling.
Action director Tinu Verma does a decent job in directing the stunt sequences but at several instances the rope tricks show off.Cinematographer Gopal Shah adds the requisite regal touch to the film, as his camera hovers vibrantly in action and battle sequences to capture accurate animated frames.Sanjay Dhabade’s art direction and Anna Singh’s costume designs somewhere fuses the period feel with a contemporary touch.Sajid Wajid’s musical score is pleasing to the ear and goes in sync with the period setting.
Salman Khan takes absolute precedence amongst everything else and roars through a powerful performance. The warrior character befits his stud and sturdy image and he doesn’t have to try too hard. Prominent in every frame of the film, he overshadows everyone else so much so that supplementary actor-brother Sohail Khan doesn’t even get one consolation solo scene. . Mithun Chakravarthy is the only one who stands on his own other than Salman Khan adding life to his character. Zarine Khan is a replica of Katrina Kaif and using the same dubbing artist only adds to the analogy. Lisa Lazarus is absolutely wasted in a two scene role. Jackie Shroff repeats his humdrum villainous act. Puru Rajkumar is unintentionally funny in his accented English.
3 IDIOTS movie Review and watch on your pc
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani the flick opens with Farha and Raju (Sharman Joshi) beginning a journey in search of their lost friend Ranchoddas Shaymaldas Chajaad (Aamir Khan) who leaves college all of sudden.
The movie proceeds through narrations that take you into the flashback when Rancho, Farhan and Raju arrive at a premier engineering institute to begin their course.
The three are roommates and go about their life at college in a lively way occasionally Raju and Farhan being worried about Rancho’s antiques.
The so called “villain” of the flick whose ways are against that of Rancho is the Dean of the college Viru Sahastrabuddhe (Boman Irani). In addition, to make matters worse Rancho happens to find love in his daughter Pia (Kareena Kapoor).
The movie has some really hilarious moments with wedding reception mayhem of Viru’s oldest daughter played by Mona Singh, Raju’s father being reached to the hospital in a very funny way on a two-wheeler and so on.
The first half keeps you at wits end. But, enter second half and you are no longer given the same experience of the first half. The end stretches a bit too long and some things are just too away from spontaneity.
The music is light and entertaining. On the whole a decent flick. Only time will tell if it joins the ranks of Aamir Khan’s other blockbuster movies.
3 Idiots works and how! With a good grip on emotions and entertainment, 3 Idiots is the biggest hit of 2009 for sure. Take it from us.

Salman Khan mania revisited with Veer movie
Salman Khan ‘the hero of the masses’ is back in full form with a film meant ‘for the masses’. With Veer -Bollywood’s most ambitious project yet the audiences were in for a never seen before visual treat.
According to sources Veer– Salman Khan’s brainchild opened to packed houses which seem to retain right till Tuesday evening.
Reveals a respected trade analyst, “Small screens like Gaiety, Galaxy, Chandan and the likes are already opening to packed houses across main cities approximately between 70 to 100 % and since this week will have as good as an extended weekend– theatres seem to remain packed till Republic Day.”
What’s bigger news is that Veer has broken records of Salman Khan’s previous hit Wanted. Adds the trade analyst, “Veer has scored the second biggest opening day turn over ever in Bollywood in Central India. The business is the second best first day ever in the history of Hindi cinema- An approximate 27.33 lakhs.”
Veer has it all – great stars, opulent and majestic sets, adrenaline pumping action scenes and Salman’s presence lifts the screen to a whole different level.
Reveals a source “The fact that Salman has penned the script himself has given his fans all the more reason to queue up to watch the film. Veer is definitely going to break records both for epic films and commercial films alike- establishing Salman Bollywood’s hottest Khan yet.”
Adds the source, “Despite mixed reviews theatres are opening to packed houses, just goes to prove that critical scores don’t make a film a hit– audience’s do. And the audiences are running to watch just one star– that is Salman Khan”
So here’s to a monumental hit and here’s to the magnum opus Veer.
It’s party time for ajay Devgans
Yes people, it is that time of the year when this striking real-and-reel-life pair of Bollywood will put their feet up and profess love for each other. We are talking about the dreamy-eyed actor Ajay Devgn and his bubbly wife Kajol – who will be celebrating their 11th wedding anniversary tomorrow (Feb 24).
Our birdies found out that unlike their usual practice, the couple won’t be going off the radar to celebrate their wedding day. Instead this time they will spend the day in the company of their near and dear ones. Ajay and Kajol are said to have organized a bash at their Juhu bungalow for their family and friends – and guess who will play the host of the evening? Their apple-of-the-eye, six-yr-old beti Nysa! How chweet!!
Well, our birdies got to know about this interesting tidbit as well… Miyaan Ajay, who is quite shy to express his love publicly to his attractive patni, is in fact very grateful to her for making their marriage into a successful story. And is gung-ho about the way Kajol has dedicated to marital life. Oooo!
Our hearty wishes to this wonderful jodi!
Bollywood babes are now spotted at horse racing event
It is that time of year when the extravaganza of luxury, glamour and sports comes together. The Gitanjali Lifestyle Derby, which spells style and entertainment, was held at Mahalaxmi Racecourse. The event was an attraction to the crème de la crème as well as the racing aficionados.
The glitterati in Mumbai d their Sunday afternoon, which was filled with thrill and excitement. Bollywood divas Raima enjoyeSen, Neetu Chandra and Urvashi Sharma added to the glamour as they made an appearance to give away the trophies to the winners.
The races were interspersed by an exquisite fashion show put together by designer Archana Kochhar.
Gordon Brown: Amitabh Bachchan greatest talent of our time
Applauding the cinematic genius of Bollywood mega star Amitabh Bachchan, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown described the actor as one of the “greatest talents” of our time.
Brown spoke glowingly of the 67-year-old star as he presented him with the keys for a Mobile Diabetes Unit at a charity dinner here last night.
The bus, named ‘Amitabh’ in the honour of Big B, will help screen people in Mumbai for diabetes and has been donated by diabetes prevention charity organisation ‘Silver Star’, founded by Indian-origin Labour MP, Keith Vaz in 2007.
“It is a pleasure to be here with Amitabh Bachchan. I talked to him just as we arrived. I was saying that I had 4 million viewers in a TV interview. I asked how many people will watch his next film and he said 500 million people. That shows the greatness of this man,” Brown said.
“Some years ago, we met in India and now here. He is more prosperous now. He is one of the greatest talents of our generation,” the Prime Minister added.
Bachchan was joined by Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty at the charity event.
Brown described Shetty as an “acting phenomenon and a committed humanitarian“.
“Your campaign for AIDS awareness is an inspiration. We all know the stigma attached to HIV and AIDS but no injustice should be allowed to last for ever, you are tackling one of the difficult issues,” he said.
Brown also said that the modern Britain will not be same without its strong bond with India.
“Let us be absolutely clear, modern Britain will not be the same without our strong bond with India and the enormous part played by the Anglo-Indian community here. With our strategic partnership with India, we can celebrate in everything we do,” the Prime Minister said.
“There is no doubt India is a modern global success story about which all of us should be proud of,” he added.
Bachchan thanked Brown for lending his support and encouragement to the cause and congratulated Vaz.
“Timely detection of this severe ailment can go a long way in its management to the noble cause,” Bachchan said.
Noting that Silver Star has plans to launch units in Kerala and Delhi, Bachchan said he looked forward to seeing “all of you in India, in the not too distant future.”
‘Amitabh’ is the second Silver Star Mobile Diabetes Unit in India. Last year Bachchan launch the first mobile unit in Goa, which has so far tested 2075 people.
”Seven million people in the UK have diabetes and have not been diagnosed, and over 50 million people in India are diabetic,” Vaz saidSalman khan breaks promiseto hearts
Salman had broken the heart of someone and she is feeling sad and angry.
The most handsome man available in Bollywood today is famous for his caring heart and keeping his promises but recently the man couldn’t keep his words.
We are referring to the promise Salman made to Hijra guru and social activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi of lending his gracious presence as one of the jury members of Indian Super Queen, a beauty pageant for Hijra community.
For some reasons Salman couldn,t make it and this has made the leader of the community Laxmi Narayan Tripathi fuming. She has sarcastically remarked without taking any names, “I don’t understand why celebrities have to make false promises when they don’t mean a word. It’s disheartening to know- celebrities find ‘cycling race’ more important than something which is so socially relevant.”
We all know where is the finger been pointed out as everybody knows that Salman was pretty much involved with the Mumbai Cyclothon.
However, yesteryears glam queen Zeenat Aman has reportedly said that she couldn’t refuse Laxmi when she was approached.
We don’t know how the emotional Salman will react to this…..
Deepika gives green signal to Madhur
After the of her debut film Om Shanti Om and her last release Love Aaj Kal, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone seems to be beaming with confidence. Even as she is busy promoting her latest offering Karthik Calling Karthik with Farhan Akhtar, another rumour has broken out that she is working with Madhur Bhandarkar love to work with him? Madhur has to take the final call!.
king khan turns the world saver in Ra 1
Here’s more news about Ra 1. After playing the under-dog in two successive films Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and My Name Is Khan, Bollywood Badshah will be flying across the sky, arrey yaar we mean a super hero, in his 100 crores home production ‘Ra. 1’.
The speculation about the movie being made in English had been given rest and according to our source, the movie will be made in Hindi as SRK doesn’t want to pitch the film in English because they already have their Superman and Spiderman.
We’ve already revealed to all of you about American Hip-Hop star Akon singing a song in Ra 1. Lets see how many surprises spring up in the due course… . And yes Kareena Kapoor will not be singing any love duets with the superman Shahrukh in the air but will be waiting for her hero to return home in the film like any Indian bride.
Shahid kapor and Anushka disappear after kissing
Akshay is the new face of LG electronics
If there is one man in Bollywood who is on a roll, then, it has to be him. We are indeed talking about the one and only Akshay Kumar. After having being chosen as the brand ambassador for a million products, Akki is all set to lend his 'Phase Value', this time round to the electronics major LG.
Buzz up!
Sources said, "Akki was always an immediate choice for the said brand, after Abhishek Bachchan." Rumours have it that Abhi's contract was not renewed because he insisted on having his better half Aishwarya Rai as a part of the deal, which LG officials were not too forthcoming about. That's the reason they chose Akshay over Abhishek."
One may recall that, just a few days back, LG had signed up John Abraham, Abhay Deol and Genelia as their Brand Ambassadors for their mobile range. With Akshay now at the helm of things, LG definitely seems to be high on Bollywood power.
Salman khan and king khan Rukh team up against Shiv Sena
It
seems that the filmdom will see a happy reunion of ?Karan-Arjun? ? Shah
Rukh Khan and Salman Khan very soon. The rival camps of SRK and Salman,
which cropped up after the face-off between the two superstars on
Katrina?s birthday party previously, will soon cease to exist because
the Khans are enemies no more - all thanks to Shiv Sena!
Acording to
sources, Salman has shown his support for SRK, who is currently in the
midst of a controversy over his comments on inclusion of Pakistani
players in the IPL (Indian Premier League) cricket matches, by
declaring ?Shah Rukh doesn`t owe an apology to Shiv Sena?.
Salman
has forgotten his old rivalry and is showing full-fledged support to
SRK for a bigger cause ? despotic tendencies of Shiv Sena. Salman Khan
has openly said that Shah Rukh has not done anything wrong by favouring
the inclusion of Pakistanis in IPL and being an owner of one the IPL
teams he had the rights to comment. Earlier, Shah Rukh had said that
Salman is a great actor and now Salman Khan is openly supporting him.
The
entire film fraternity, artists and fans across the world are showing
their support for SRK. At least Shiv Sena has done some good to the
country by unifying the filmdom at least!

Shahrukh Khan -The making of a Bollywood King
February 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): He came, he saw and he conquered the world, he is none other than our very own King Khan of Bollywood- Shahrukh Khan. The man certainly needs no introduction as his every move becomes breaking news. Besides his magnetic presence on screen, his personal life too has been equally appealing to his fans. Mr and Mrs Khan’s immortal love-story is the Rome Juliet of modern age, albeit with a happy ending. His love-filled real life is probably the secret of the eternal love stories that he creates on reel
After his tele-stints he happened to Bollywood with the film Deewana. His un-groomed personality with lanky body and weird hairdo though were uncool, but his unconventional acting charmed the audience. Barring the lumberjack dancing moves of Badshah Khan, the song Aisi Deewangi… sure struck a chord with the audience. Though the stardom was unforeseen the then promising actor with his circussomersaults was certainly “different’.
Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman: Made Shahrukh a gentleman
As Raju, Shahrukh became the most empathized actor on celluloid. He was no larger than life hero in the film who jumps off the cliff and brushes off 10-15 goons at once with his muscular arms. In fact he showed up as a very ordinary guy who is battling within himself to make choices in life. The youth of 90s could identify with Raju who becomes “Gentleman’ at the cost of love and relations. Dil hai mera Deewana showcased the innocent charms of a young boy with big ambitions. He gave a whole new meaning to the heroism in the Hindi cinema with this film, not to say a new disease Loveria too!
Baazigar: Baazigar Badshah
Romancing two heroines on the screen only to ruin them later… An impossible idea of anti-love clicked big time for SRK. The audience showered their love on him, that’s the magic of being Mr. Khan. Apparently audience loved Shahrukh above everything, so much so, that pushing innocent Shilpa from the building terrace was excusable as after all he was the prince charming on a white horse for Kajol, as she sways singing Baazigar.
Darr: Charismatic K…K…King Khan
Love him, or hate him, you just can’t ignore him, the acceptance of SRK as a bad-boy in the film Darr confirms the very fact. He became an obsession of Bollywood after his obsessed lover act in the film. His fond-style of addressing his lady love K…K…Kiran became a rage. Jaadu Teri Nazar became a cult classic with the innocent Juhi being led on by her silent admirer. Wishes are fulfilled in Tu Mere Samnewhich sees Shahrukh not believing his luck that he is actually with his love.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge: Raj is still ruling!
The magic of “Raj’ on celluloid is still running high. The love story of Raj and Simran is among the few immortal stories of Hindi cinema that will liven up the silver screen and several hearts for many decades to come. Raj- a directionless brat of Indian origin on foreign land, when comes to India following his love, imparts all the desi-morals so convincingly that not only several Simran’s, but also their mother across the globe fell in love with him. There are generations of Simrans awaiting Raj humming the romantic track “Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jana Sanam…’ SRK with his naughty smile, strumming mandolin made many a heart say Ruk Ja O Dil.
Pardes: Issi Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil
Every time he loved his women, he loved them unconditionally but portrayed them differently onscreen. In Pardes he falls in love with Ganga’s simplicity at the very first sight but contained himself till the end. His love-filled eyes peeping through the arc of guitar conveyed his unspoken state so strongly that Ganga ultimately finds solace in his arm. His rage at not being able to express his love is eloquently expressed in Yeh Dil Deewana. Thus he etched out yet another definition to love – If you love her so dearly no matter where she is, she will come back to you.
Yes Boss: Bas Itna Sa Kwaab Hai
In the song Chand tara….undeniably SRK was very much in his element. It looked like he is once again living the time when his dreams sounded hazy to others. He was all raring to go and catch the stars above, meant only for him. The madness he portrays makes it evident that he could go to any length to achieve his treasured dream. Whereas in Main Koi Aisa Geet he returns to his sweet lover boy image and woos a confused Juhi with his darling antics and brings the magic out of the hat!
Dil Se…
The unbeatable groovy number Chhaiyya Chhaiyya rocked the music charts that very year. The song became popular for its unconventionality - SRK and Malaika Arora Khan danced full-throttle on the top of a moving train. Apart from SRK’s adventurous performance on this Sufi number, he also stupendously performed a formation dance with Manisha Koirala on Satrangi Re…his every expression conveyed that a selfless love is to get destroyed with her!
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: Kuch Kuch happened all over
He won million hearts when he sheepishly lost the basketball match against Anjali or when he failed to realize his underlying love for her in the presence of the glazing beauty of sensuous Tina. We all experienced the strange “Kuch Kuch’ feeling watching Anjali and Rahul accidentally realizing their long buried feelings for each other while dancing under umbrella all drenched in rain. As Rahul, he distinctly re-defined friendship and love in the film.
Asoka: King as King
King Khan in his late 30s pushed all his hair back, put the raj-tilak on his bare forehead and donned the attire of the brave emperor Asoka. The most reminiscing song sequence Chhuke Bole Chhunana Mujhe…a love making duet with the very young and lovely Kareena Kapoor exemplifies the most elegant period-romance in the history of Hindi cinema.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum: All in the family
SRK played the elder son in the star studded family in the film K3G where the Shehanshan and the Badshah of Bollywood shared screen space as father and son. Besides the film being heavy duty emotional drama SRK-Kajol romantic pair did its share of magic. Their dream sequence in the song Sooraj Hua Madham… manifested the beauty of their onscreen togetherness once again.
Veer-Zaara: Old is still gold
Veer and his captivating poetry in the end of the film left us awed for the perspective that he gave towards love - for that we all have to rise far above the regional boundaries. In the court when he recites the poetry, his voice certainly conveyed the ignorance that one develops towards the material world when in love. Giving solace, Shahrukh convinces Preity Main Yahaan Hoon and makes her realize he is only for her in Tere Liye.
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna: SRK glorifying act
We have only looked down upon the extramarital relations, considering it scurrilous but watching SRK falling for a married woman in the song Mitwa looked very convincing. May be only because he is SRK! His open arm act in the middle of the stadium manifests the sheer incompleteness in his life without his “soul’ mate. Though the film faced flaks on moral grounds, but SRK’s unfolding dilemma in the film exposed several facets that were previously overlooked.
Don - The Chase Begins Again
Who else could have matched the demure of Big B, in the remake version of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer cult classic “Don’! Matching the steps of Big B, Shahrukh effortlessly steeped into his shoes and song in Khaike Paan Banaraswala. Shahrukh Khan gave his panache to the stylish track Main Hoon Don and made bad boys look tasteful like never before, he gave a class to Bollywood mafia.
Om Shanti Om
Only King Khan could have done this, rehashing a 70ish concept to multiplex audience was a Herculean task, but Shahrukh can! He made the audience of realistic-cinema believe in the tale of re-births. Audience who were scoffing at SRK’s retro-side, dropped jaws with the drop of his shirt, to all our surprise his “Dard-e-disco’ six-packs baring act was a killer rage. It made girls drool over his bare cuts and made men go green with envy. Ahem! A lot of Bollywood biggies reworked their fitness regime to match up to the king and his abs.
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
SRK played a recluse officer in the film but himself to keep his high flier wife happy. Juggling between the geek and the hunk act he made the audience and finally his onscreen wife fall for him. His geeky look may not have appealed to his wife, but the audience Haule Haule fell in love with him, and found his dorky look “cute’! It was a delight for them to see him in a changed avatar - simple trouser and shirt with curt moustache. Whereas Dance Pe Chance was a faint revisit to the Rahul days of Kuch Kuch!

Ajay flooded with a new comic roles
February 22, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Ajay Devgn, the two-time National Award winner has now become the king of comedy, with his recent hattrick of 'Golmaal', 'Golmaal Returns' and 'All The Best'. The smashing success of these movies has resulted in the actor being flooded with offers of comic roles.
"I agreed to Atithi... almost minutes after I heard the first draft of the script, because to me, this film fit into that genre of Hrishida's films. Films like Chupke Chupke, Bawarchi, Rajnigandha, Khubsoorat, Angoor and Golmaal (Amol Palekar) made by stalwarts like Hrishida, Basuda and Gulzar saab tickled your funny bone, but they also had a soul," says the versatile actor.
His eyes crinkle as he says, "Our generation didn't have the privilege of working with masters like Hrishikesh Mukherjee,
Speaking about his latest comedy 'Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge', Ajay says, "Atithi ... is from the school of film-making that made a huge impact through the '70s and '80s. Yet the film has a contemporary look. Believe me, every time I say I will run away from comedy, comedy chooses me. After 'Atithi...' I'll plunge headlong into 'Golmaal-3'. Sometimes, I think actors don't choose a role, a role chooses them. When you deliberately resist something, it has a way of following you."
Sneha Ullal want to prove it out
When she first stepped on screens, people welcomed her as Salman’s muse; as fresh copy of Aishwarya Rai. However, with her launch pad movie ‘Lucky’ (opposite Salman Khan), Sneha Ullal didn’t make much impression other than with her beauty.
Now after few years she made her presence felt again with the recently released horror flick ‘Click’ – a movie which she doesn’t admits as her comeback. And Sneha is brimming with a zest to stay in B-town with better status and name. For, this lass seems to carry some bitter, learning experiences through Bollywood. “I need a film like 'Lucky' to make a comeback; then I can show what I can do," stated Sneha, “Now it's time I prove myself because there are a lot of people who misguided me in Bollywood - whom I trusted. I never knew Bollywood is like that, you know.”
All these while this light-eyed fireball had been active doing south films and Sneha recalls that how the industry is much better than the Hindi one. The 22-yr old actress is grateful to south cinema for teaching how to be an actor and most importantly, how to be a lady. “In the south, people are very genuine. They will tell you the right things,” shares Ullal, “It's unlike Bollywood. Here people will misguide you and take you in the wrong direction. That's what happened with me.” Hmm, learn the ropes quickly, lady…
While the beauty won’t be leaving her grip over south cinema, Sneha is equally determined to make a difference in her Bollywood career. Said Sneha, “I am going to do any role now that takes me to another level. If my role is good, I don't mind even if it's a D-grade film.”
The gal is looking forward, forgetting the past by giving no space for regrets. Instead she is keen to “re-do” things. “I don't regret because 'Lucky' gave me name; people know me today because of 'Lucky',” stated Sneha who already said to have two Hindi films in her kitty as of now. "I am doing a film with Ashok Tyagi where Akshay Kapoor is my co-star and there is another film with Shubir Mukherjee. The film is being launched by Joy Mukherjee's son Sujoy. One of them is a thriller, the other is a love story and both are expected to release later this year," revealed Sneha.
Go Sneha, go! All the best!
rap singer Akon enters Bollywood
MUMBAI: If Bollywood stars want a foothold in Hollywood, vice versa also holds true. International pop stars doing numbers for desi films started as far back as Samantha Fox in Rock Dancer (1995).
More recently, there was Snoop Dog in Singh is Kingg, followed by Kylie Minogue in Blue and now Akon will be seen in Anubhav Sinha’s Ra.One starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor, which has music by Vishal and Shekhar.
A source reveals, “Ra.One is a SFX movie and director Anubhav Sinha wants to achieve Hollywood standards. Shah Rukh and Anubhav spoke about having an international pop singer in the movie, and SRK opted for Akon, who is popular with the youth.”
The source continues, “During a recent visit to Los Angeles, Shah Rukh met Akon and they had a long conversation on Indian and Western music. Akon will sing in Ra.One and this will be his debut in Bollywood. He has been signed for a whopping amount. Akon had performed last year at the closing ceremony of the IPL.”

Everybody in the city can afford a cycle. Go on, get one, it keeps you fit, and in Mumbai’s peak hour traffic — you reach your destination faster. Twinkle Khanna went simple by wearing white chikan suit and diverted the attention towards her lovely emerald drop earrings. Hubby Akshay Kumar complimented wifey Twinkle well by wearing a simple beige kurta. The couple looks very nice.

A R Rahman and Akhtar's are now musical mission
Looks like Bollywood is leaving no stone unturned to amend the Copyright Act. Last week, lyricist Javed Akhtar and music composer AR Rahman met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in Chennai to garner his support for the cause.
A source says, “Eyebrows were raised when Akhtar and Rahman met Karunanidhi. There were even whispers in Chennai about their meeting. The reason was obvious that the duo wanted Karunanidhi to pledge support for their cause.”
While Rahman remained unavailable for comment, Akhtar admitted to the meeting but denied having lobbied for the Copyright Act. Akhtar says, “A R Rahman and I went to thank Karunanidhi because being a writer himself, he has always been supportive of this cause.”
While HRD minister Kapil Sibal is doing his bit by bringing Aamir Khan, who had earlier resigned, back to the committee, it will be definitely interesting to see Karunanidhi’s contribution in wrapping up this long-standing issue.
Bollywood’s creative brigade is fighting for the amendment of the Copyright Act to receive a better share of the revenue. The Copyright Amendment Bill is likely to be presented during the Budget session of Parliament, before it is referred to a standing committee.

Shah Rukh Khan doesn't sleep. Or so it seems. He landed in Mumbai on Thursday from Dubai after a show, but shows no sign of strain or jetlag. Just before Dubai the mega-star was in Berlin for the film festival negotiating the attention of hundreds of screaming fans. What we don't know is that Shah Rukh met and bonded in Berlin with American auteur director Martin Scorsese and his favourite actor Leonardo Di Caprio. Says Shah Rukh, "Leonardo, Martin and I spent some time together. Martin was gracious enough to remember that he had met me in Cannes way back in 2002 when I was there for Devdas. He wants to watch Devdas and I've promised to send it to him. I'll do so right way." After the glorious performance in My Name Is Khan as a physically-disabled underdog journeying across America on a whimsical mission, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to play the super-hero flying across the sky to save humanity. True to its mythological title, Ra.1 which starts shooting next month in Mumbai followed by Goa and London, will have Shah Rukh combating 10 villains. Raavan according to Hindu mythology, was a ten-headed demon whom Ram vanquished single-handedly. In Ra.1, the modern day Raavan has been turned into ten different villains whom super-hero Shah Rukh, the modern day Ram will annihilate one after another. Shah Rukh Khan seemed remarkably relaxed in Berlin on the day after his film My Name Is Khan opened in Mumbai accompanied by violent protests by the Shiv Sena. Said Shah Rukh from Berlin, "I missed the opening in Mumbai. But I believe people have liked the film. I'm being told I'm in character. That's good to hear. Give me a character to be in, and I'm right there." The SRK brand of humour was intact when told that My Name Is Khan doesn't look like a Karan Johar film. At his deadliest deadpan best SRK retorted, "Yeah, even I felt like that when I first saw it. I told Karan, 'Arrey yaar yeh tum ne kaisi picture banayee hai?' Actually the three ladies in our lives Hiroo Aunty (Karan's mother Hiroo Johar), Kajol and Gauri have made this film." Getting serious SRK said, "I thought it would take audiences a little time to come to terms with the film. But I am glad it was well-received." After playing the under-dog in two successive films Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and My Name Is Khan (we aren't counting his guest appearance in Dulha Mil Gaya) Shah Rukh will be flying across the sky in Ra.1. The estimated budget of the film to be produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies, is Rs 100 crores. And no Kareena Kapoor won't be joining him in midair. She plays Shah Rukh's grounded wife and not a super-woman. Says a source close to Ra.1, "Kareena was keen to attempt the hi-jinks with Shah Rukh, especially since Agent Vinod where she has a lot of stunts has again been postponed But in Ra.1 all the conflict involves Shah Rukh and the ten villains." Shah Rukh along with the film's director Anubhav Sinha and journalist-writer Mushtaq Sheikh, has co-written Ra.1 and will be credited as one of the writers. The film will be in Hindi. Says the source, "He was advised to make the film in English. But Shah Rukh decided to make it in Hindi. Why should he pitch his super-hero film to the Western audience when they already have their Superman and Spiderman? Shah Rukh has no aspirations of cracking Hollywood on their terms." The film requires the star to perform never-before heart-in-the-mouth stunts, which he's gearing up to do.
Kareena-Shahid get talking once again
One time lovers Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor are known for ignoring each other ar award functions and other parties, however at a recent party hosted by SRK, both ex-lovers exchanged pleasantries thanks to director Karan Johar.
A source present at the party says, “Shahid and Kareena came face to face and everyone thought they would simply ignore each other like they have done on many occasions in the past. But this time, Karan happened to be present right there and instead of marching past each other, they slowed down for a bit. And the rest, as they say, is history.”
Kareena and Shahid kept talking for a long time and were later joined by Saif Ali Khan who also acknowledged and shared pleasantries with Shahid.
The source adds, “Shahid and Kareena have finally decided to leave their acrimonious past behind them. This was very evident in the manner all three of them – Shahid, Kareena and Saif – interacted with each other at Shah Rukh’s party.”
Kareena’s official representative did not confirm the news, but said, “Kareena has no problem with anybody, including Shahid.”

Deepika on the cover of Maxim’s 50th ssue
Deepika Padukone’s soon to be released ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ opposite Farhan Akhtar is getting rave reviews even before its release and with the film all set to hit the screens shortly, Deepika seems to be everywhere right from interviews to promos and on the glossy covers.
This time the girl has been chosen for the cover page of the 50th issue of glossy magazine ‘Maxim’. The issue has Deepika get candid about being surrounded by men right since her early days when she was a badminton player and then a model. She also gives some preferences on how she would want her ideal date to be. Deepika also discusses her current favorite movies.
On the personal front, I find this photoshoot of Deepika is quite dull and boring and very unlike the way ‘Maxim’ presents its girls. The ‘X’ factor is missing here! Check out for yourself and let us know your thoughts on this…..Priyanka to do an animation video for Greenathon campaign
Last year had been great for Priyanka Chopra and the actress has decided to thank God’s grace by doing her bit for the environment. She is all set to appear in an animated video in order to raise environment consciousness.
The video is a part of the NDTV-Toyota Greenathon campaign and produced by Red Dot Productions, it will inspire people to take action such as saving water and electricity, planting trees and reducing pollution.
Priyanka is very excited about her first animation project and says, “It was the first time I shot for an animated video and I had to imagine everything as I was standing against a chroma screen… We were very sure about the fact that it had to appeal and connect with the audience and not be boring and preachy. The animation has made it visually appealing and interesting.”
The video which is aptly titled “Hawaaein, patte, paani” has been written by Gulzar and composed by musician trio Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy.
The concept of the video goes as Priyanka looks for a solution to a polluted, dry and barren landscape. She finds a green sapling sprouting from the cracked earth and hands the sapling to a little girl who I turn gives it carefree young people. The chain continues and the earth survives.Shahid Kapoor refused by Kareena Kapoor to share the stage with
Since the time Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor parted ways, Boney Kapoor’s project ‘Milenge Milenge’ has been suffering setbacks. First, the film has been out rightly delayed. Next, Boney Kapoor’s plans for shooting a promotional video for the film with Shahid and Kareena went berseck as Kareena went on her size-zero spree and the promoters of the film had to give up the idea. The promotional song had already been recorded with Himesh Reshammiya and as per the sources, now this song will be shot on Shahid and a new girl.
The latest headache for the producer has been the fact that Kareena has refused to come together and share the stage with Shahid Kapoor for the promotion of the film. She is ready to promote the film but sans Shahid.
The producers of the film are in a fix with Kareena’s unprofessional attitude. Dear Kareena, linkups or breakups, professional commitments should always come before personal preferences!
Vidya Balan moves her permanant new house in Khar
Vidya Balan cannot stop raving and admiring about her new four bedroom flat in Khar in which she has moved in just three weeks ago from Chemboor where she stayed before this. Vidya has special attachment to her house since she has taken personal care and interest in making the house stand and now, she plans to throw in a house-warming party for her close friends and well-wishers.
Vidya says, “It’s virtually been built brick by brick by me in the middle of my busy schedules. I wasn’t able to give the house time at a stretch. That’s why it took time to be put together.”
“I think it’s imprudent to invite all your friends all at once for one party. This makes the gathering unmanageable, guests who don’t know one another get uncomfortable. So I’m having a series of sit-in dinners in my new house where groups of friends who know one another, can come together for cosy comfortable conversations and food.”
“I’m fastidious about cleanliness to the point of being obsessive about my home. If I feel a drawer is messy, I will clean it up at 3 in the morning after a hard day’s shooting. So before my house-warming parties start, I need to make sure everything is in place.”
“Shifting into it after the release of Ishqiya is a conscious move. I think after Paa and Ishqiya I’ve earned myself a place of my own.”
Aamir Khan now resigns from the Goverment panel for the sack of copyright issues
Things took an ugly turn when media reported that at a recent meeting between producers and writers over the issue of royalties, Aamir Khan said that a song’s popularity depends on the star it was picturised on and not on the lyricist’s efforts. This remark offended renowned writer Javed Akhtar who retorted by saying that the song Papa kehte hain became a hit despite the fact that Aamir was not a star at that time.
Media quoted this incident by saying that Aamir was trying to harm the writers by taking away credit from them. This hurt the perfectionist Khan who has now resigned from the 10-member committee formed by the government to look into the proposed amendments to the Copyright Act.
This is an excerpt from what Aamir wrote on Tuesday to Human Resources Development Minister Kapil Sibal.
“It seems to me that there is an attempt by certain people to attack me in public by printing lies about me, thereby turning the attention away from a genuine debate about copyright issues.”.
“I am grateful to you for inviting me to be part of a committee to discuss the various issues regarding amendments to the Copyright Act. However in light of these public attacks on me I don’t think I am comfortable to be part of this committee.”
“I take great pride in my honesty and integrity, and attach an enormous amount of value to my sense of justice and fair play. Monetary achievements have never excited me. If they had, I would have acted in many more than one film a year, thereby being financially much richer than I currently am.”
“Had I been driven by monetary achievements I would not have produced films that challenge the mainstream and break new ground, films like Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par and Peepli Live, that most producers would hesitate to produce.
I believe that what I have earned is the love and respect of my colleagues and my audience. And this I have done through my work and through the manner in which I work. This is why such public attacks are most damaging to me emotionally and leave me crippled.”
“In the past 26 years of my involvement with the film industry, I may have made mistakes, but never have I knowingly been dishonest or unfair in my dealings, whether as an assistant director, actor, producer or director.”
“I feel I have a lot to contribute to the ongoing debate but I cannot make any meaningful contribution in this atmosphere. Aggression of this type leaves me feeling very disillusioned and sad and I am unable to function.”
“Therefore I request you to accept my resignation from this committee and please appoint another person in my place.”
“I believe that amendments to the Copyright Act are long overdue and I am so happy that a person like you is spearheading this movement. I believe that the changes that you are bringing about in the sphere of education are so dynamic, progressive and positive, that I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that you will do the same in the field of copyright.”Shilpa shety and Sushmita shan at the DNA After Hrs Style Award
